SAVANNAH, GA – Online lighting retailer Microlamp will carry energy efficient lighting products from PureSpectrum, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PSPM) and a 20-watt dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) is now available for purchase at www.microlamp.com.

 

Microlamp has been a lighting retailer for more than 30 years and carries name brand products from major brand name manufacturers like GE, Sylvania and Philips on its website. Microlamp sales manager Hector Tortoriello said in addition to selling directly to individual consumers Microlamp sells between 1,000 and 5,000 CFLs per week into various markets, including but not limited to hotels, restaurants, medical facilities and electrical distributors and suppliers.

 

“The dimmable CFL from PureSpectrum performed great compared to other dimmable CFLs I have tried,” said Tortoriello, who tested the 20-watt dimmable from PureSpectrum before adding the product to Microlamp’s offerings. “With other dimmable CFLs, once you get to a certain point they start to flicker and fail. But with the bulb from PureSpectrum the performance was awesome throughout the dimming range. The performance is why I decided to put PureSpectrum’s product on our website.”

 

Microlamp’s website receives between 700 and 1,000 unique visitors per day, and Microlamp will market PureSpectrum’s products to their existing customer base via direct mail and e-mail. The first product which is available through the online retailer is a 20-watt dimmable CFL built with non-proprietary technology which PureSpectrum sponsored through Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and Energy Star testing.

 

The 20-watt dimmable CFL was launched earlier this summer to introduce the brand name and begin developing distribution channels while final engineering work is being done on the company’s full CFL product line built with proprietary ballast technology. The company plans to launch additional products built with PureSpectrum’s proprietary dimming ballast technology.
